How to find my Amazon password

Sometimes, due to some glitch or technical error, you may not be able to log in to your Amazon account even with the correct user id and password. If you are facing such an error, it is suggested you wait for a couple of minutes and try again. Close the browser and refresh your system. Clear the cookies and your web browser history. Then open the web browser again and go to the official web page of Amazon. Try to log in to your account with the registered email and password. In case you still are unable to log in to your Amazon account, it is suggested you reset your password. There are two simple ways by which you can do that yourself. Follow the instructions below to find your Amazon password.

Find your Amazon password with registered email id.

While signing up with Amazon, you are asked to fill in your email id and phone number. This is not just used for the verification and registration of the account with Amazon, but it is also used to recover the lost or forgotten passwords or user ids of the Amazon users. Read below and you will be able to find your Amazon password.

  • Open your web browser in any internet enabled device and go to the official Amazon web page.
  • Log in to your Amazon account using the registered email id and try to fill in the password that you last remember. If it shows incorrect password, click on forgot my Amazon password.
  • You will be redirected to the password recovery page of the Amazon website.
  • You will then be required to fill your recovery email id there and then fill the CAPTCHA to verify that you are not a robot or a minor. After doing that, click on continue.
  • You will receive a pop-up notification saying that a recovery email has been sent to your registered email id.
  • Open another tab and log in to your recovery email account. Open the latest email from Amazon that you have received. It will be the email containing a link for the password recovery.
  • Open the recovery link and follow the instructions carefully. You will be taken to the recovery page where you can generate a new password for your Amazon account.
  • Create a new password for your Amazon account. You will have to enter the new password twice to confirm. After doing so, click on “Confirm and Continue”.
  • You will receive the confirmation that your password has been reset. Go to the Amazon login page again and log in with your registered email id and the new password. You will be then able to go to your Amazon account.

If you are still not able to do so, follow the same instructions again. If that still does not help, it is suggested that you contact the customer support team of Amazon. Explain the whole situation to the representatives and they will surely provide satisfactory solutions.

Find your Amazon password with the registered phone number

  • Open your web browser in any internet enabled device and go to the official Amazon web page.
  • Log in to your Amazon account using the registered phone number and try to fill in your Amazon password that you last remember. If you are unable to log in to your Amazon account, click on forgot my Amazon password.
  • You will be taken to the password recovery page of the Amazon website.
  • You will then have to fill your recovery phone number there and then fill the CAPTCHA to verify that you are not a robot or a minor. After doing so, click on continue.
  • You will see a pop-up notification saying that a recovery code has been sent to your registered phone.
  • Check your mobile’s inbox. You will have received an SMS from Amazon with a security code.
  • Fill in the code and click on continue. After confirmation of the code, you will see a new Amazon page open.
  • You will be taken to the recovery page where you can generate a new password for your Amazon account.
  • Create a new strong password for your Amazon account. You will be required to enter the new password twice to confirm. After doing that, click on “Confirm and Continue”.

You will receive the confirmation on your registered mobile number and email id that your password has been reset. Go to the Amazon login page again and log in with your registered email id and the new password. You will be able to have access to your Amazon account.
